Ahh, I see that it's been more than three years since I last wrote on this blog. I've been writing, but I haven't been sharing my experiences and thoughts here. It's my intention to become a regular blogger; we'll see how it goes. Much of my writing has been as Editor of FunTimes Magazine, Celebrating the African and Caribbean Diaspora. It's a 100-page, colorful, classy publication that features many of its articles online and through Facebook and Instagram. Do check it out!
If that's not enough great news, there's more! I've finished writing my memoir, Loving to be WE, focusing on my amazing 'Jamaican Journey' for the past 23 years. I submitted it to be reviewed at the website Readersfavorite.com and received the highest 5-star rating. My main confidant and supporter throughout my 'Journey,' Dr. Wendy Crawford, a university sociology professor and author in Grenada, wrote the thought-provoking forward. Seven others, I'm honored to call friends, drew upon their extensive expertise to share engaging reviews as well. I've now entered my manuscript into the Readersfavorite competition. Stay tuned ... the results will be announced September 1. I expect to publish by then.
